This is a test web site designed only to be seen by KCHS Board members. It is based on the existing KCHS web site, uses the much of the same content as the existing site but has major technical and design changes and additional content. All of the KCHS Museums are closed for the 2013 season. We will post the 2014 schedule of activities in the spring.
Check the Sites and Museum Schedule page for hours and locations for all 11 KCHS museums for the past 2013 season.

- Sunday, May 19,-- Opening of Church of the Assumption Museum and Bammert Blacksmith Shop Museum at Phoenix (hours 8 Am - 6 PM)
- May 25-27, -- Life-Saving Museum opens for Memorial Day Weekend, 9 AM-5 PM, Marina Rd., Eagle Harbor
- Sunday, June 9, -- Opening of Eagle Harbor museums (Light House, Life-Saving Station, Rathbone School)
- Eagle Harbor Lighthouse docent hours July/August Mon.-Sat. 10 AM-5 PM, Sun. 12-5 PM, June/Sept/Oct 12-5 PM
- Life-Saving Station (Eagle Harbor Marina), Rathbone School (Eagle Harbor) open 9AM-5PM, June 9-Oct 13.
- Sunday, June 9, -- Opening of Central Mine Visitor’s Center (daily 9 AM -5 PM, with docents most days from 1-4 PM, through Oct 13)
- June 28-30, -- Historical Society of Michigan’s 64th Annual Upper Peninsula History Conference
- June 28, -- KCHS Trustee Mark Rowe to give keynote presentation at UPHC on Shipwrecks of Lake Superior
